You will support projects such as crane replacements, feedwater heater replacements, building modifications, large piping replacements, and other major component upgrades. You are knowledgeable in civil/structural engineering analysis and design. You are experienced with nuclear industry engineering processes. Additionally, you can perform detailed reviews and verifications of engineering change packages. We are looking for collaboration across multi‑discipline engineering teams and involvement in project planning, scheduling, and outage coordination.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of design engineering experience.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Experience developing equipment design and procurement specification documents.
  • Qualified in Engineering Design Change per Standard Design Process IP‑ENG‑001.
  • Civil/Structural Engineering degree (B.S. required; M.S. ABET accredited).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with standard civil engineering codes.
  • Experience preparing equipment specifications.
  • Background supporting large capital projects.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing 10 CFR 50.59 Screens.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed nuclear engineering documents, including engineering design change packages, 50.59 screens, applicability reviews, and engineering assessments.
  • Support engineering activities related to piping replacements, floor loading evaluations, rigging of heavy loads, and other major capital project needs.
  • Review engineering deliverables such as calculations, drawings, procedures, contingency plans, and training materials.
  • Perform design verifications and owner's reviews to ensure compliance with nuclear fleet design standards.
  • Be present in the field to support project implementation activities, ensuring engineering intent is met and safety and quality standards are upheld.
  • Schedule major engineering segments to ensure understanding of long‑range development schedules.
  • Participate in project schedule and outage planning meetings, providing engineering insight and direction.
