The University of Rochester is seeking a Nuclear Cardiology Technologist to perform Nuclear Cardiology studies, which require theoretical insight and experience. The role involves exercising complex skill, judgment, and knowledge of the principles and methods of Nuclear Cardiology, including SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT. The technologist will provide patient care, technical skills, and documentation while practicing radiation safety measures to reduce exposure and prevent contamination. Responsibilities include explaining procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety, acquiring and processing images, performing quality control on cameras and dose calibrators, and maintaining the radiopharmacy. The technologist will also be responsible for recording and documenting patient studies, archiving studies, and ordering radiopharmaceuticals.
