The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking an Assistant Professor of Practice in 2D Animation for the Bass School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology. This non-tenure track position focuses on teaching and mentoring students in animation, particularly in design and storytelling. The ideal candidate will have significant industry experience and will contribute to the school's public-facing programming.   • Teach four undergraduate courses in the fall semester and four in the spring semester, with the possibility of graduate level courses.

  • At least an associate's degree in animation or a related academic discipline.
  • Significant industry experience in animation, particularly in design and/or story.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching using evidence-based practices.
  • MFA or PhD in animation or a related academic discipline.
  • 10 years or more of relevant industry experience.
  • Physical and mental wellness resources.
  • Lactation facilities located throughout the campus.
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for community building among faculty and staff.
