About The Position

Nucor Tubular Products Trinity is seeking a strong leader and self-motivated Mechanical Engineer. The responsibilities include but are not limited to troubleshooting mechanical failures, assisting with maintenance strategies, machine design, mechanical systems design, construction engineering, maintaining engineering documents, drafting, and capital project management. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• 4-year Engineering or Science Degree
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, scheduled and unscheduled overtime

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with tube mills
• Prior experience with parts conveyor design
• Prior experience in heavy equipment or manufacturing
• Process improvement background using statistical analysis
• Equipment upgrade, installation, and commissioning experience
• Prior leadership experience and contractor management
