About The Position

The NTI Career Services Staffing Specialist at Goodwill Industries is responsible for facilitating employment opportunities for graduates and managing relationships with employers. This role involves identifying best practices, developing employer databases, and coordinating career development sessions to assist clients in securing jobs within their field of study. The specialist will also track employment leads, conduct follow-ups, and ensure effective candidate matching to enhance job placement success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • Minimum of two years of similar experience required.
  • Ability to perform internet research and work with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Experience in updating and maintaining employer databases and building relationships with customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other team members.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify best practices in the field and incorporate new ideas into partnership and placement opportunities.
  • Receive inbound calls from prospective employers and graduates seeking employment assistance.
  • Follow-up on employment leads and set appointments to discover prospective employers' needs and overcome objections.
  • Lock-down prospects for commitment and evaluate daily activity against standards and personal sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain an employer database and employment referrals for graduating students.
  • Track and document employer and graduate activities throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct routine follow-ups with employers and graduates to assess the effectiveness of candidate matching.
  • Obtain new employer contacts in person or by telephone and arrange for employers to visit classrooms.
  • Generate job leads and job openings with local businesses throughout the assigned Service Area.
  • Manage assigned caseload, helping clients overcome barriers to obtain 'in field' career placement within 30 days of program completion.
  • Coordinate and conduct scheduled resume preparation, interviewing techniques, job search/research, and other career development sessions in the classroom.
  • Assist with preparation and attend Orientation, Graduation, Program Advisory Committee Meetings, and Special Events.
  • Maintain and develop up-to-date job openings on a weekly basis, at a minimum of 3 per unplaced graduates.
  • Identify job openings that align with students' career objectives and develop external sites.
  • Update job orders and accounts in Clarity Soft in a timely manner and document all activities for clients and employers within 24 hours of the event occurring.
  • Complete EVF and TWC Completer Form and create frequent statistical and narrative reports.
  • Execute high volume of outbound calls to employers and graduates and follow up on employment leads to accurately track and report employment engagement.
  • Safeguard company property and report any incidents of accident, theft, fraud, waste, or unauthorized possession of company property to the manager immediately.
