This nursing faculty position has a wide range of professional responsibilities including but not limited to: Develop, implement, and evaluate the philosophy and objectives of the nursing education program. Design, implement, teach, evaluate, and revise the curriculum. Faculty should provide evidence of education and experience necessary to indicate that the faculty member is competent to teach a given course. Develop and evaluate student admission, progression, retention, and graduation policies within the framework of the controlling institution. Participate in academic advisement and counseling of students in accordance with requirements of the Financial Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 USC § 1232g). Provide opportunities for and evidence of student and graduate evaluation of curriculum and teaching and program effectiveness. Document actions taken in faculty and committee meetings using a systematic plan of evaluation for total program review. Create and maintain effective collegial relationships with students, faculty, University and clinical agency staff and administration. Model professional evidence-based nursing is sensitive to diverse and multicultural considerations. Establish and maintain professional and ethical boundaries with students, co-workers, and others in all learning environments. Participate in University service and events; and Perform other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Department Chair.
