About The Position

The Standard Missile portfolio is seeking a Munitions Acceleration Material Program Manager to support Production Assurance efforts within the Naval Standard Missile Systems Production (NSMS) area of Naval Power located onsite in Tucson, Arizona. Production Assurance ensures the future success of franchise NSMS production programs via proposal support, the cut in of new assemblies & designs into current production configurations, the execution of life time buys, and the execution of investments in our supply base to grow or ensure production capacity. This position is contingent upon a contract award. Employment in this role will only be extended if the program is awarded to the Standard Missile portfolio.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skillset.
  • Advanced Supply Chain Planning tool experience (i.e. SAP/PRISM, Kinaxis, MFT, ROMS, etc.).
  • Experience with proposals or material estimating.
  • MPM Level 4 (or higher) Certification.
  • EVMS Certification.
  • PM Level 7 (or higher) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Bring advanced/applied knowledge of proposal activities, customer negotiation support, material requirements planning (MRP) process, subcontract management and project management.
  • Develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for programs or integrated product teams.
  • Participate in proposals by developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates.
  • Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies.
  • Lead by influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status, material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans.
  • Support supplier negotiations and PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives.
  • Manage financial aspects including EV, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts.
  • Overall ownership of the supplier management process including Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan.
  • Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers.
  • Management of timely and compliant quarterly Estimates At Completion (EACs).
  • Support MRP Scheduling and Master Data requests.
  • Willingness to travel domestically/internationally, as required (expected to be <20%).
