The I-Corps program, created in 2012 by the National Science Foundation (NSF) aims to further develop and nurture a national innovation ecosystem that guides the output of scientific discoveries closer to the development of technologies, products, processes, and services that benefit society. The goal of the I-Corps program is to reduce the time and risk associated with translating promising ideas and technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace, increase the economic competitiveness of the United States, encourage collaboration between academia and industry, and train NSF-funded faculty, students, post-docs, and other researchers in innovation and entrepreneurship skills. Administered through the Office of the Executive Vice President and University Provost with the EVP and University Provost serving as the Principal Investigator, the Program Manager will support the NSF I-Corps Hub: Desert and Pacific Region. This position reports to the Senior Program Manager, who serves as the Hub Coordinator (a named leadership role per the NSF), and works under the direction of the Hub Director.
