Requirements

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree
  • Florida Registered Nurse License or Respiratory Therapist RRT or CRT credentials or Florida Paramedic license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required
  • American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required
  • NRP Instructor certification required

Responsibilities

  • Teach NRP certification classes effectively and with enthusiasm to engage students
  • Facilitate video presentations, provide instructor didactic lectures, skills demonstrations, testing students, answering questions, remediating when appropriate, and completing post-course rosters, paperwork
  • Physically demonstrate correct mannequin skills
  • Submit all required documentation timely
  • Set up, clean, and store equipment appropriately and independently
  • Communicate effectively with AHA Coordinator, Clinical Education Director and team, fellow instructors, and UFHCF Team Members
