About The Position

The NRO Lead plays a critical role in launching new Angry Chickz restaurants with excellence. This position is responsible for developing new teams, supporting operations, setting standards, and ensuring each new restaurant delivers consistent, high-quality customer experience from day one. The NRO Lead will also oversee and develop all assigned trainers to ensure they represent the brand with professionalism, consistency, and strong training execution. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role that requires a leader who embraces the “wear the apron” mindset. The ideal candidate leads from the front, works alongside the team, and sets the tone through energy, discipline, and high standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of Restaurant Manager or District Manager experience.
  • Strong experience in leading teams, developing people, and managing performance.
  • Exceptional training, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel for fourteen to thirty consecutive days for new restaurant openings.
  • Ability to work extended shifts during opening week including ten to twelve hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Food handler certification or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop Trainers
  • Guide all assigned trainers through the process starting with the pre-opening tasks.
  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and skill development opportunities.
  • Ensure all trainers deliver consistent, accurate, and professional training across all areas of the restaurant.
  • Build supportive and high performing trainer culture while reinforcing brand values and expectations.
  • Training and Development
  • Train new team members across all stations including front of the house, back of the house, prep, expo, accuracy, food safety, and customer service.
  • Demonstrate procedures clearly and offer hands-on coaching to build confidence and skill.
  • Ensure all training checklists, materials, and standard operating procedures are followed exactly as intended.
  • Support new restaurant leaders in establishing strong expectations, structure, and culture.
  • Operational Support
  • Work side by side with the team throughout opening week including prep time, lunch service, dinner service, and closing routines.
  • Validate station readiness, recipe accuracy, food quality, and service flow to ensure operational excellence.
  • Assist with smallware setup, prep lists, product builds, and station organization. You will step into any position needed to support smooth operations and ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for opening day.

  • Model Angry Chickz’s values through your communication, attitude, urgency, and professionalism.
  • Lead with an apron on and demonstrate excellence at every level of operation. You will create a positive, safe, and motivating learning environment.
  • Build relationships with new team members and motivate them toward long-term success and reinforce consistent standards and lead with purpose and clarity.
  • Communication and Reporting
  • Provide daily recap updates outlining results, progress, accomplishments, and areas needing improvement.
  • Track training performance and identify development gaps with clear action plans, and communicate regularly with the NRO Captain, NRO Director, Training Director, and Operational Leadership to ensure alignment.
  • You will report operational or safety concerns immediately and maintain strong communication across all opening partners.
