About The Position

OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for an NPI (New Product Introduction) Technician I who plays a vital role in supporting the introduction of new products into the manufacturing process. This position involves assisting in the testing, assembly, and troubleshooting of prototypes and pre-production units, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards. The NPI Technician I collaborates with engineering and production teams to transition new products from development to full-scale manufacturing efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Proficient in using hand tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment preferred
  • Experience with soldering, electronics assembly, or mechanical testing is a plus
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and tools
  • Technical Certification or associate degree in electronics, manufacturing technology, or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assemble prototypes and pre-production units according to engineering specifications and blueprints
  • Conduct functional tests, record data, and ensure product performance meets established standards
  • Assist in identifying and resolving issues with new products or processes during the development phase
  • Provide feedback to engineers on potential design or process improvements
  • Assist in the development and validation of manufacturing processes for new products
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement process changes or improvements
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities
  • Report findings and provide detailed feedback to the engineering and NPI teams
  • Set up and operate basic tools and equipment required for prototype assembly and testing
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and report any issues promptly
  • Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to support seamless product launches
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions related to NPI projects
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while working in the lab or production areas
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices during testing and assembly
