Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a NPI Project Specialist located in Columbia, SC. Reporting to the Sr. NPI Manager the NPI Project Specialist role will be in charge of managing projects of low-medium complexity in order to meet the performance indicators (cost, delivery, quality, etc) of a specific organization. What a typical day looks like:

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field.
7+ years of related experience.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid comprehension of Flex policies and procedures.
Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, and office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation package and database systems.
Demonstrates advanced functional skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or guide other employees.
Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
Demonstrates advanced skills in functional/technical area.

Responsibilities

Help establish project schedule, financial parameters, and technical requirements, managing project from initiation through transfer.
Review and communicate customer requirements, specifications, and project schedule and budget constraints to cross-functional teams.
Review daily production schedule and identify problem areas.
Assess causes of problems and provide technical support and direction to project team to resolve issues.
Develop status reports, including project financials, insuring project team is meeting customer requirements and measuring cost control.
Create and maintain project plan documents, procedures and project deliverables.
Conduct presentations concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
Assist in the management of larger projects/programs.
Interact frequently with customers and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management; frequently interact with middle management and singly contributor groups.
