Current advancements are underway in autonomous movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, predictive analytics, and much more. The Industrial Robotics Group Sourcing organization sources and manufactures a portfolio of robotics technology and is responsible for getting the right materials to the right place at the right time to support our network of global fulfillment and transportation solutions. It's an operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon globally, and is driven by data and metrics. The Sourcing team is seeking an NPI Procurement Specialist with a background in supply chain purchasing, new product introduction, and foundational knowledge of materials management and planning systems. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and motivated to support defined service levels and program goals related to technical, quality, and delivery requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience managing tasks across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Some experience in a manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain environment

  • Experience working with Tableau

Responsibilities

  • Actively supporting and fostering a culture of inclusion.
  • Supporting the purchasing of materials and equipment from our suppliers including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, PCB assemblies, and hardware.
  • Assisting with planning material supply requirements, tracking inventory levels, and managing schedules in our ERP system, and communicating these requirements to suppliers.
  • Maintaining accurate records for open purchase orders, expedites, and delivery requirements.
  • Supporting all aspects of procurement, from PO issuance through receipt and payment support.
  • Assisting with supplier performance tracking, including contributing inputs to monthly scorecards and supporting procurement data reporting during quarterly business reviews.
  • Supporting the Commodity Management team with maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance, addressing supply issues, sending requests for quotes, and analyzing cost information.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and automation of business processes.
