Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a heavily regulated industry.
  • Proven ability to execute Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and managing design transfer activities.
  • Experience with electrical safety testing (IEC60601 compliance or similar) and implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Hands-on experience with design engineering software, including schematic capture, mechanical drawing, and statistical tools like Minitab.
  • Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to boost production yields and streamline manufacturing techniques.
  • Utilize Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to uncover and resolve yield loss issues, enhancing product quality.
  • Oversee design transfer activities, ensuring seamless integration of new and existing products into manufacturing and service operations.
  • Investigate and resolve line-down situations, collaborate with suppliers on component specifications, and lead root cause analysis for product failures.
  • Execute process validations and test method validations while maintaining strict adherence to quality system procedures and industry standards.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Design Engineers to bridge the gap between design and production, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
