The New Product Introduction (NPI) team is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the ongoing development of new technologies and products. This role operates within a dynamic, fast-paced engineering environment and leverages agile development methodologies to drive profitable growth and deliver exceptional value to our customers. Current initiatives include, but are not limited to, cost reduction efforts, new supplier integration, packaging of new product configurations, and technology exploration. The Mechanical Design Engineer is a key member of the design team, demonstrating the ability to rapidly assess complex challenges and engineer creative, effective solutions. This individual is a strategic thinker with a strong grasp of system-level design, capable of translating high-level requirements into detailed, actionable engineering tasks. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure our products meet the highest standards of functionality, quality, and safety. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other cross-functional team members to interpret business and design requirements, assess their impact on system architecture, and drive execution through well-defined deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with Creo and Windchill.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with gas turbine systems and their operation.
  • Familiarity with Ansys SpaceClaim.
  • Knowledge of linked/configurable data.
  • Practical understanding of solid and fluid mechanics, with the ability to utilize advanced analysis tools as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and team to translate business needs and design requirements into actionable items for NPI development and improvement.
  • Partner with Field Service Representatives, Supply Chain, and Business Development to understand the core problem and deliver effective solutions.
  • Develop innovative concepts and mechanical designs.
  • Create detailed models and drawings of designs.
  • Maintain and update Bills of Material and product documentation.
