Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech The NPI Test Engineer applies in-depth Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering knowledge by ensuring that project plans are comprehensively reviewed, implemented, and completed on schedule and within budget. Reviews, under limited supervision, detailed engineering project plans that will lead to improved performance and efficiencies by capitalizing on standard project management tools. Edits and summarizes relevant manufacturing data into broadly-understandable terms to communicate project progress with leadership. Ensures effective and efficient use of project engineering tools and techniques to solve opportunities. Reports status on assigned projects in various formats to various organizational levels. Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities. Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team. In This Role You Will Support the transition of new product designs into full-scale production Create and improve manufacturing processes, workflow, and layouts for maximum efficiency Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery and automation systems. Analyzing production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies Automate test processes utilizing in-house developed test software and scripts Evaluate products against specifications, implement quality controls, and reduce defects. Line support, training production staff on new processes or equipment Collaborate with design, quality, service repair and production teams Develop, execute and release engineering documentation and bill of materials undefined Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering fields are required Strong knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation. Excellent verbal and written communication Proficiency in CAD drawing such as Solidworks and scripting language such as Python Shell and Linux Ability to read schematics and perform electrical debug using multimeter Strong analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills Ability to collaborate cross functionality, lead projects and manage timeline undefined. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering fields are required
  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation.

Responsibilities
