About The Position

The NPI & Industrialization Engineer coordinates New Product Introduction and technology transfer activities to ensure manufacturing readiness, process capability, and cost-effective product launches. This role serves as the analytical and coordination link between the Global Project Management Office (PMO), Engineering, Production, and Quality. It focuses on analyzing performance data (Yield, RFT, Capability) to identify improvement priorities, support manufacturability assessments, and guide teams toward the highest ROI opportunities. The position provides direction through data, not by executing process improvements directly owned by Production, Engineering or Quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering, or 4+ years equivalent technical experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in product or process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years' experience in NPI, process industrialization, or technology transfer.
  • 2+ years' experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment, applying structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, RCCA, PFMEA).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical device or precision manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to present data-driven recommendations.
  • Proficiency with process documentation, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with ERP and data visualization tools (SAP, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of GD&T, DFM/A and cost reduction methodologies.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 standards, and GMPs

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the site's NPI and Technology Transfer roadmap, ensuring alignment with PMO priorities and site objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional readiness reviews to confirm process, quality, and supply-chain preparedness for new or transferred products.
  • Analyze Yield, First-Time Yield (FTY), process capability, and cost drivers to identify key improvement opportunities and quantify potential ROI.
  • Support Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) discussions and propose product or process modifications that improve manufacturability, yield, and efficiency.
  • Provide analytical input to PFMEA, control plan, and validation activities owned by Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports summarizing capability data, NPI status, and ROI tracking for management and PMO review.
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean initiatives through data-driven prioritization and engineering insight.
  • Standardize documentation related to NPI and industrialization deliverables to ensure alignment and traceability.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards in all activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
