Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent, completing minimum undergraduate sophomore year prior to internship start date.
  • Experience with SolidWorks including creating models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
  • Self-starter with a consistent track record of engaging in self-directed learning and remaining productive with minimal direction.
  • A strong eagerness to learn and apply engineering concepts to hands-on experience.
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1)
  • Ability to relocate across the United States as required by the internship program.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Robotics or medical device experience.
  • Knowledge of FDA or regulatory guidance.
  • Prior internship or Co-op experience.

Responsibilities

  • Help support process improvement projects for Urology Manufacturing Lines
  • Complete equipment qualifications as needed for Urology Manufacturing Lines
  • Release documentation as needed in Agile PLM (MPIs, LHRs, equipment qualification protocols and reports)
  • Support fixture development using SolidWorks
  • Support time studies as needed by Bronchoscopy/Urology programs
  • Support engineering studies and root cause analysis investigations as needed by Bronchoscopy/Urology programs
