About The Position

Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist – 0442 Exempt NPD Specialist (Lawson) Your Job: In this highly technical, fast paced, and challenging NPD Specialist position, you will support the changing landscape of healthcare in an inter-professional practice and learning environment. You will support lifelong learners in an inter-professional environment that facilitates continuous development and learning. Methodist Richardson Medical Center is a 443-bed, full-service, acute care hospital that serves Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties. We are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center as well as the nation’s first hospital to receive The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Pancreatic/Hepatic/Biliary Cancer Certification. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification
  • NPD Certification or Certified Nurse Educator within two years of start date
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical nursing practice and application of adult education theory in a hospital and/or School of Nursing
