Functions as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty, and partner for practice transitions. Supports learning, change, professional role competence and growth, which ultimately lead to optimal patient care, population health, and protection of the public. FT position available, flexible hours including occasional off shifts This candidate will assess, design, implement and evaluate quality improvement and educational programs at the unit level. The candidate will work directly with staff, unit leadership and the interdisciplinary team as a change agent to drive excellent patient and unit outcomes. Main areas of responsibility include Unit Performance Program (UPP) team coordination, unit level data review and interpretation, project implementation/management and dissemination of best practices. The candidate should have strong communication skills, willingness to work in an interdisciplinary team and passion for patient and family centered care for a unique patient population. Must have strong clinical knowledge in medical/surgical nursing, experience in psychiatric nursing and nursing leadership a plus. Previous leadership experience preferred. Master's degree in nursing required.
