NPD Engineer

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a professional engineering capacity.
- Understanding of measurement techniques and principals.
- Experience creating and reading 2D CAD drawings.
- Experience with Microsoft products
- Experience with SolidWorks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct testing per verbal guidelines, or safety/performance standards.
- Compile data to demonstrate results using spreadsheets, graphs, tables.
- Mechanical, electrical assembly of prototypes, test equipment, and controls
- Observe lab safety guidelines.
- Evaluate product compliance with safety/performance standards, or specifications.
- Interface with third party agencies or test labs during product certification testing
- Trouble shoot field problems in house or on-site as needed.
- Assist in the Creation of drawings, bills of materials and specifications.
- Work with manufacturing, on prototype and validation builds.
- Uses SolidWorks to explore design ideas and explore design ideas.
- Works with design personnel and NPD Engineers to develop new products.
- Explore ways to reduce development of products.
