We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NPD - Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at JPW Industries. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for our extensive range of industrial tools and equipment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing experts, to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations. This position will sit onsite at our corporate headquarters in La Vergne, TN. In this role, you will be a critical partner and have a voice in leading the electrical system design. You will design and develop electrical systems for industrial tools, ensuring compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory standards. You will also identify new innovations and strategic opportunities, considering financial impact and market competitiveness. Leading system requirements definition and documentation based on customer needs, business objectives, and regulatory requirements will be a key responsibility. You will define and maintain system architectures including hardware, electrical, and firmware interfaces, ensuring robust configuration management. Establishing and executing rigorous test procedures for electrical and software applications and subsystems to validate performance and reliability will be essential. Additionally, you will maintain awareness of competitive offerings and market trends to shape a cutting-edge product roadmap. Your role will also involve leading investigations into new technologies, defining system requirements, architecture, and reusability strategies. Building and managing collaborative relationships with third-party vendors to enhance product development capabilities will be crucial. You will create prototypes and conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of electrical systems. Preparing detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation to support product development and manufacturing processes will be part of your responsibilities. Ensuring electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., UL, CE, NEC) is also a key aspect of this position. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate electrical components into new and existing product designs, and you will schedule, develop agendas for, facilitate, and document project meetings to ensure clear communication and progress tracking.
