Our providers manage a broad range of conditions, from upper respiratory infections, minor fractures, lacerations and more. We offer a balanced mix of scheduled visits and walk-ins, ensuring variety in your practice. Clinics operate from 8 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week, with flexible scheduling options, including 12-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts. Providers work primarily at 2-3 local sites but are credentialed across the system, maximizing both convenience and staffing flexibility.   • Manage a broad range of conditions including upper respiratory infections, minor fractures, and lacerations.
  • Provide high-quality acute care for patients of all ages.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Utilize telemedicine opportunities as needed.
  • Participate in a flexible scheduling system with a predictable rotation.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Virginia State Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and DEA license required, or must be eligible to obtain.
  • AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
  • Advanced Life Support certification required.
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations.
  • Capable of meeting credentialing or job function requirements based on the practice and managed care payors and insurers.
  • Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Clinic's malpractice insurance carrier.
  • Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
  • Prior emergency medicine or urgent care experience.
  • Flexible scheduling with a predictable 10-week rotation.
