The NP/PA utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, and caring for patients of various ages. Position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. The ideal candidate would be joining a large, well-established sleep center accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. In this role, you will be diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with sleep disorders including, but not limited to, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, and insomnia. You will improve patients’ quality of life by sleeping well. Highlights: Primary Home Base Location: Sleep Medicine – Lakewalk Clinic in Duluth, MN Ability to perform virtual video and telehealth (TCON) visits, per department needs. Ability to work independently in outreach settings Workdays: Monday – Friday Clinic Hours – No Call – No Holidays (1.0 FTE) Special Equipment of Interest: Full in-lab acquisition systems, portable home sleep testing units, Actigraphy, Inspire Training & Transition to Practice: Upon hire, you will receive orientation and training with the Essentia Health Sleep Center Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Registered Polysomnography Technologists and American Academy of Sleep Medicine resources.
