About The Position

The Emory OB/GYN Advanced Practice Provider (APP) post-graduate Fellowship is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2026 cohort. The Emory Healthcare OB/GYN Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship Program is a one-year, post-graduate training program that prepares Fellows to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of complex and challenging patients in Women’s Health. The Emory Healthcare OB/GYN Fellowship is a one-year post-graduate program that prepares new Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of complex and challenging OB/GYN and Women's Health patients. The Fellowship’s curriculum covers a wide spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology, including outpatient obstetrics and gynecology, maternal fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility and urogynecology, and inpatient Labor and Delivery and L&D Triage. The clinical rotations will provide Fellows with most aspects of Women’s Health and OB/GYN.

Requirements

  • Eligible to graduate from an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Completed application includes submission of the following supporting documentation: Curriculum Vitae: educational background, professional experience, volunteer experience and other relevant information
  • Statement of Intent: One-page, 12-point font, double-spaced statement describing career goals and reasons for pursing the fellowship. Include future career plans and how they might be enhanced by additional training in the fellowship.
  • Three Letters of Recommendation (including one from Program Director or Current Supervisor if not a new graduate)
  • Official transcripts are required upon completion of graduate program and prior to starting residency. If you are a current student we require a copy of your transcript which reflects your most recent student status.
  • Completion of an accredited PA or NP Master's program prior to the start of the Fellowship program.
  • National board certification as an NP or PA.
  • Eligible for licensure as a PA or NP in Georgia.
  • Eligible for DEA license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
