About The Position

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. NP/PA – Internal Medicine Park Rapids, MN Looking for an experienced full-time APP to care for the adult population at our Park Rapids, MN clinic. The APP will be able to provide the full range of adult medicine in an enjoyable and fulfilling work environment. You’ll experience an outstanding team-based atmosphere along with plenty of specialty support in our rural medicine setting. Full-time status; 4-5 clinic days per week (equal to 0.8-1.0 FTE) 14-18 patients per day (already established) Ability to care for all ages – full scope practice with a focus on chronic medical issues of the older adult population Opportunity to keep “urgent-care” skills refined with Walk-In Clinic as needed The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, the NP/PA works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. NP/PAs provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP)
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR
• National certification, in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
• NP: Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR.
• National certification in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
• PA: Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR.
• National certification.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
