Comprehensive health benefits that start Day 1 Our Emory Head and Neck Surgery team is growing and we are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. Work Schedule is 6am - 4pm, Tuesday - Friday ( no weekends, nights or call). Inpatient or surgical experience preferred with Head & Neck, ENT, Oncology, or ICU experience a plus. The APP will provide comprehensive inpatient care for patients undergoing complex head and neck oncologic and reconstructive procedures including free flap reconstruction, laryngectomy, salivary gland surgery, and airway procedures. Daily Responsibilities will include Inpatient rounding and postoperative management Flap monitoring and wound management Tracheostomy and airway care Care coordination and discharge planning Collaboration with surgical attending, residents, and multidisciplinary teams and the opportunity for surgical first assist responsibilities for qualified and interested candidates Description Additional Responsibilities: Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records. Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems. Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures. Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment. Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.
BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
ACLS may be required in some areas.
Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP) for inpatient roles within Emory Healthcare
