About The Position

Practice under the supervision of the Hospitalist. Perform physical examinations, laboratory tests and health screening measures. Teach patients all aspects of health care. Counsel patients and families in family issues as appropriate. Assess and manage illness under guidelines approved by medical staff. Refer patients to other health care providers or community agencies when and as appropriate. Contribute to devising, executing, and periodically reviewing written policies/clinical protocols governing the services provided by the hospital.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program leading to a Masters Degree and/or meets the Advanced Nursing Practice requirements set forth by the Illinois State Board of Nursing.
• Must process appropriate certification and degree from a United States Institution of Higher Education.
• Must be licensed to practice in the State of Illinois prior to beginning employment.
• Computer literacy required.
