NP/PA - General Surgery - Duluth, MN
About The Position
Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age. PRACTICE SPECIFICS: Candidate would be joining a busy, established, complex surgery team consisting of 5 Advanced Practitioners and 7 Physicians Supports the General Surgeons with their clinic needs Provide continuity of care to our patients receiving care from the General Surgeons Provides pre-op and post-op patient education Coordinates diagnostic studies, consultations, procedures, and communications Manages post-op care of patients Will support entire General Surgery physician team SCHEDULE: Clinic schedule 0.8 FTE NO call expectation NO weekends or holidays Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation. Requirements
- NP: Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR.
- National certification in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
- PA: Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR.
- National certification.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
Responsibilities
- Supports the General Surgeons with their clinic needs
