Job Title: NP/PA - Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Brownsville/Weslaco/Harlingen, TX Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Brownsville – 10a -6p, 2p -10p, 4p -2a Weslaco - TBD Harlingen – 10a -6p, 4p -22a, Floating COVERAGE DATES Starting ASAP Ongoing coverage Flexible scheduling based on location PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages Patient Volume/Census: Varies base on location Admissions: Yes Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine with trauma, cardiac, neuro, ortho, and OB/GYN support FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: Depends on location Trauma Level: III, III, Free -Standing, Micro EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped emergency department Specialty Backup Available: Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics Support Staff Available: Experience Nursing and Physician Staffing Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Full scope Emergency Medicine procedures Trauma stabilization and management Cardiac, neurologic, and orthopedic emergency care JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Texas license Board: BC – ANCC/AANP; NCCPA DEA: Active DEA required Certifications: ATLS, PALS Experience: Minimum 2 years Emergency Medicine experience DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide direct Emergency Department patient care within scope of practice Perform evaluations, treatments, and procedures appropriate to credentialing Participate in formal triage system and support ED workflow Coordinate patient care with specialty backup and hospital services Accurately document all patient encounters in T -System Collaborate with nursing staff and scribes to ensure efficient throughout

Requirements

  • Active Texas license
  • BC – ANCC/AANP; NCCPA
  • Active DEA required
  • ATLS, PALS
  • Minimum 2 years Emergency Medicine experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct Emergency Department patient care within scope of practice
  • Perform evaluations, treatments, and procedures appropriate to credentialing
  • Participate in formal triage system and support ED workflow
  • Coordinate patient care with specialty backup and hospital services
  • Accurately document all patient encounters in T -System
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and scribes to ensure efficient throughout
