About The Position

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. NP: Master's degree in nursing PA: Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field PRACTICE SPECIFICS: The Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP or PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, and caring for patients ranging in age. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. Position Highlights: 100% Clinic Work Engaged, close-knit Team Supportive and Collaborative Team Model Team is comprised of the following: 1 MD, 3 RN’s, 2 CMA’s, 1 Advanced Practice Clinician (APC-this position) Anticipated Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm No Holidays, No Call Estimated Patients per day will be 12-14 once fully trained EDUCATION: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota (if NP)
• Current certification in CPR.
• National certification, in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
