Ambulatory Cancer Center Solid Tumor- Waltham Outpatient only- Full time, 40 hours, 4-10hr shifts, M-F only With an interdisciplinary team approach, the NP or PA will promote a collaborative relationship between all providers, professional nurses and administrative staff, to ensure continuity of patient care. Focus is primarily on the care of solid tumor malignancies in our ambulatory clinic at MGH Waltham campus though cross coverage may be anticipated. In addition to providing direct and indirect patient care, the medical oncology APP serves as a role model for professional advanced practice and participates in the professional development of the team through teaching, committee involvement or quality and safety initiatives. The medical oncology APP will provide thorough, compassionate, culturally sensitive clinical care and should demonstrate operational flexibility and strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills in order to work effectively with other members of the team. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation.
