The Emory Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Movement Disorders Post Graduate Fellowship Program is currently accepting applications for the next cohort. The Fellowship is a one year training program that will train, mentor, and promote expert clinical specialists with a passion for developing a career treating and caring for persons with Parkinson's Fellowship Program Overview: Nurse Practitioner Fellows train alongside Physician Fellows. This interprofessional approach prepares graduates to participate in and facilitate collaborative interdisciplinary care. The Nurse Practitioner Fellowship program consists of a minimum of 300 didactic or classroom hours and 1,500 mentored clinical hours. Nurse Practitioner Fellows can generally expect to spend 5 days a week for eight to ten hours a day on-site. Most likely four days will be clinical with one day of administrative work to understand this aspect of Parkinson’s care. This may vary based on activities. Description Position Summary: The NP Fellow, over the course of the training, must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients with movement /disorders. The Fellow must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to develop each patient's care requirements.
