About The Position

Off Leash K9 Training is hiring a Travel Dog Trainer in the Richmond, VA area to work directly with clients and their pups in the comfort of their own homes. As a Travel Dog Trainer, you’ll visit clients’ homes to deliver private, 1-on-1 training sessions tailored to their dog’s individual needs. You’ll help dogs of all breeds and sizes become better-behaved companions and empower owners to confidently continue training on their own. Every day is different, and every dog is a new opportunity to make a difference.

Requirements

• Must live in or near Richmond, VA
• Experience with dogs (personal or professional)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation for traveling to clients’ homes
• Must own an iPhone for scheduling and client communication
• Organized, motivated, and able to work independently
• Comfortable handling dogs with behavioral issues (e.g., reactivity, anxiety)
• Must be available evenings and weekends for client sessions
• Must pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Experience in dog training or behavior modification
• Previous customer service experience
