About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Gap Inc. plays a crucial role in driving a culture of continuous improvement within the distribution centers. This position focuses on maximizing capabilities and efficiencies through the maintenance and implementation of material handling equipment (MHE) and property maintenance. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting solutions that impact product flow and conducting routine repairs on various equipment and electrical systems.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of MHE and automation in a distribution center environment.
• Ability to work, plan, and prioritize independently and in a cross-functional team.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills.
• Capable of multitasking and highly organized with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot solutions that impact facility product flow.
• Develop positive cross-functional internal and external relationships to improve overall occupancy experience and operating efficiency.
• Conduct routine repairs/tasks with shop equipment including band saw, Arc and Mig welders, and hydraulic press.
• Perform maintenance tasks on 3 phase electrical systems under 600 volts, including preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Rebuild drive units and components.
