The Department of Water Resources (DWR) is looking for an individual with a background in water distribution to serve the North Dakota citizens as a part of Team ND. This position's reporting location is at the NAWS pump station located near Lansford, ND and requires travel throughout the areas covered by the NAWS project. This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for over time and on-call pay. This position is not eligible for per diem for travel within the NAWS distribution system. The salary range for this position is $5,000 to $6,300 per month (dependent upon experience). Summary of Work The Northwest Area Water Supply (NAWS) Distribution Operator within the DWR's Water Development Division is responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of the NAWS project. NAWS is one of the two state-owned regional water systems in North Dakota. NAWS provides water to multiple counties in north central North Dakota and is designed to serve over 81,000 people. The NAWS Distribution Operator will report to the lead operator on the NAWS Project and will be a member of the NAWS Section of the Water Development Division.
