The Private Practices within TeamVision are engaged in full-scope optometric patient care, with an emphasis on ocular disease management and refractive services. Optometrists utilize their knowledge, efficiency, and the most modern technology to provide the best vision for everyone. The Optometric Technician ensures all patients receive the highest quality Optometric care while receiving an eye exam. This role provides an unsurpassed patient experience by seamlessly linking the doctor and other primary care functions together. The technician assists with patient care and eye exams, manages patient records, and supports patient flow throughout the exam. They perform various tests to aid the optometrist with vision examinations, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner. Attention to detail is crucial, as the technician reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifies special needs, and consults with Optometrists or Practice Managers when necessary. In addition to technical skills, the Optometric Technician must be adept at handling patient interactions, especially in situations involving dissatisfied patients, acting quickly to resolve issues. They are responsible for maintaining organized patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards, supporting contact lens exams, and operating the point-of-sale system accurately. The role requires maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to company policies, and performing other functions as assigned by the Practice Manager. The technician must also be flexible, working weekends and evenings as needed to support business operations.
