The Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) is a community-wide initiative that connects healthcare entities at local, state, regional, and national levels to plan for and respond to emergencies and disasters. This role involves strengthening the healthcare delivery system's ability to prepare for and respond to all-hazards, including mitigating medical surge from mass casualty incidents and natural disasters. Under the direction of the Local Health Officers from Bear River, Davis County, and Weber-Morgan Health Departments, coordinates and maintains the Northern Utah Healthcare Coalition. Develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates the regional medical surge capacity plan for the northern Utah region. This position is grant-funded and is contingent upon the continued availability of funding through the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), administered by the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). Continued employment is dependent on annual grant renewals and ongoing federal support for the program. This position has the option to work from either our Logan, Brigham City, or Tremonton office.
