Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Two years of electrical maintenance experience.
• Skills in locating and correcting defects in electrical systems, components, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals.
• Commitment to excellence and ability to take action to achieve high standards.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and manage multiple assignments.
• Clear and effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to adhere to strict policies and procedures per company HSE program and OSHA requirements.
• State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman Certificate of Fitness.
• Valid Driver License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria for driving.
• Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, criminal background check, and computer-based testing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a remote arctic environment.
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical systems as assigned.
• Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
• Check and maintain fire alarms in facilities and buildings.
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors.
• Observe safety standards and regulations.
• Attend training to maintain and/or improve certifications and skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
