About The Position

GE’s Power Conversion and Storage business, part of GE Vernova, is an innovator in advanced energy conversion and storage systems. We empower our utility and industrial customers by solving their most challenging electrification problems and accelerating their transition to a sustainable, decarbonized future. The Quality Manager for Power Conversion and Storage North America is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control for an over $1 billion business comprising three diverse solutions groups: Energy Storage, Industrial Electrification, and Power Stability. The position will ensure that business processes meet set standards by adhering to quality control systems, overseeing inspections, analyzing data, managing cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This role reports directly to the North American General Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (technical degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality or related roles
  • Independent, self-starter that can proactively engage a variety of cross-functional external and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with generating and analyzing quality reports
  • Proven history of problem-solving acumen
  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes and standards
  • Strong conflict resolution skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to anticipate customer needs, understand their problem statements, and utilize insights to contribute to a sound strategy
  • Proven track record of being customer focused and experienced in communicating clearly and effectively
  • Proficiency in quality assurance tools and software
  • Experience within a large industrial company that delivers both projects and products
  • Lean Master Black Belt, or equivalent lean experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the growing North America region in development of a quality continuous improvement culture
  • Develop and lead the content and cadence for monthly, weekly, and daily operating reviews while coordinating with a cross-functional team to focus efforts on leading and lagging key performance indicators that result in achieving customer and financial commitments.
  • Lead lessons learned activities for the region
  • Provide guidance and train employees on quality procedures
  • Case management reporting and resolution tracking for region
  • Track quality metrics, analyze data to find trends, and identify areas for improvement
  • Direct improvement activities and mentoring for key performance indicators that require focus using Action Plans and Problem Solving Reports methodologies. (RCA’s)
  • Manage and develop of the Quality Systems (ISO9001) through involvement, delegation and regular reviews of performance as established in with the global QMS leader
  • Develop knowledge of processes, systems, platforms, services and workflows of the business and mentor others to support the growth and efficiency
  • Ensure all customers, third party auditor and external body requirements are incorporated fully into standardized work
  • Manage the oversight and development of corrective actions
