About The Position

Join Mark VII and help shape the future of manufacturing. As the North American Human Resources Director for MARK VII Equipment, you'll be the central leader of the human resources department, managing and overseeing all daily operations. A critical function of this role is to design, plan, and implement human resources programs and policies for staffing, compensation, benefits, immigration, employee relations and training for North America (22 US states and Canada) while ensuring human resources strategies align with organizational business goals.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • Human Resources Certificate (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

Responsibilities

  • Passionately drive results by thinking and acting quickly to ensure the long-term best interest of company objectives
  • Provide support and guidance to management and staff when sensitive topics and issues arise
  • Support organizational change initiatives
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Advise management on best practices
  • Evaluates human resources processes and strategies to determine improvements to be made and report findings to top management.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Oversee the administration or the organizations compensation and benefit programs
  • Ensure competitive salary structure and develop strategies for retention
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure that compensation packages remain competitive
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
