About The Position

Develops and executes a strategy for growth in the US Environment market to achieve key business objectives; develops, maintains, and advances client relationships through sales strategies and client contracts.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree plus 10 plus years related experience; additional education may be substituted for experience.
  • Capability in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills as evidenced by prior supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and other languages, as applicable).
  • Willingness to work after hours and on weekends, and sometimes on short notice.
  • Must be willing and able to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the development and delivery of sales/business plans within sector.
  • Sells all of Amentum capabilities to clients, not solely services residing with partnered Operating Unit (OU).
  • Partners with Vice President of Operations for Environment to deliver OU growth targets.
  • Directs and conducts the research and analysis of business opportunities within an identified target market to ensure a continuous pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Assesses competition and potential markets by analyzing growth strategies.
  • Serves as Outside Sales Lead with responsibility for proposal strategy, preparation, submittal, and/or implementation upon award for specific pursuits.
  • Ensures consistent application of the company’s sales process, including compliance of corporate policies and processes and maintenance of data within CRM.
  • Develops and approves value propositions that enhance Amentum’s competitive position and achieve client objectives.
  • Contributes to the development of functional, regional, or global business development strategies.
  • Evaluates key personnel for contract/task bids/proposals, establishing relationships with new clients.
  • Generates and fosters positive client relationships.
  • Recommends strategic hires, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures when appropriate in support of business development strategies.
  • Provides leadership for other Business Development Directors.
