About the position
The job overview for the position of Nordics Public Policy & Business Development Manager at TIER is to manage relationships with cities, officials, and stakeholders in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The role involves finding and capitalizing on opportunities to grow the business, developing and executing public policy strategies, and supporting tender responses. Strong academic background, fluency in Swedish and English, and experience in public policy, contract management, or business development in the public sector are required qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day relationships with cities, officials, and other stakeholders across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark
- Find and materialize opportunities to profitably grow the business
- Assist in developing and executing proactive public policy strategies to drive TIER's public affairs agenda and positioning in the market
- Be an integral team member for tender responses, contributing to building the narrative/strategy and understanding the city's requirements
- Support the identification, engagement, and management of stakeholders on the municipal level
- Be a sparring partner to the public policy team and commercial managers, ensuring well-informed and considered regional operations, market development, and expansion strategies are pursued
- Work closely with the commercial, operations, and other departments to drive a healthy regulatory environment in the Nordics market and raise TIER's profile
Requirements
- Strong academic background
- Fluent in Swedish & English, Norwegian and/or Danish languages considered a plus
- 3+ years' industry and/or relevant work experience in public policy, contract management, and/or business development in the public sector
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, multitasking, and demanding environments
- Enjoy working on cross-functional projects and in cross-cultural teams
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills orally and in writing
- Ability to present TIER externally
