About The Position

Provide safety and assistance to children in lunchrooms and school grounds.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Experience working with and/or supervising children
• State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• No previous experience required
• Knowledge of District policies and regulations
• Skill in interacting with students, staff and parents
• Ability to use equipment such as walkie talkie, brooms, mops or related items.
• Ability to enforce school and/or District rules, regulations, policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with students, parents and staff

Responsibilities

• Ensuring safety of students in lunchrooms and school grounds.
• Counsel and/or intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior
• Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel
• Respond to emergency situations to address safety concerns
• Escorting students to and from classrooms.
• Assisting students in lunchroom and/or school grounds.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks (clean up spills, floor, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned.
