About The Position

A highly regarded nonprofit organization is seeking a well-rounded, hands-on Nonprofit Accountant with Financial Edge (Blackbaud) experience to provide immediate accounting support within a collaborative finance team. Working closely with the Controller, you will spend your days supporting core day to day accounting functions, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, cash tracking, and donation related accounting, while helping keep processes organized and running smoothly. This opportunity offers a flexible daytime schedule, daily lunch, and a pleasant, professional office environment. The office is easily accessible by public transportation (public transit strongly recommended).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Nonprofit accounting experience – REQUIRED
Financial Edge (Blackbaud) experience – REQUIRED
Experience with donation receipt and contribution revenue recognition
Understanding of nonprofit fund accounting

Responsibilities

Maintain general ledger activity, including preparing and posting journal entries
Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist with cash flow tracking and reporting
Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Assist with donation receipt and contribution revenue recognition
Work with multiple online giving platforms
Help organize and clarify existing accounting processes and documentation
