About The Position

The University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented employee to provide extra help with recruitment efforts. This non-student extra help position is ideal for individuals interested in supporting higher education outreach and enrollment activities. The candidate selected for the position will work closely with the Admissions Office to assist with various recruitment tasks aimed at attracting prospective students to the university.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills.
  • Prior experience in customer service, outreach, or recruitment is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, as recruitment events require.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating recruitment events, including campus tours, college fairs, etc.
  • Support outreach efforts by contacting prospective students, answering inquiries, and providing information about academic programs and campus life.
  • Collaborate with university staff and faculty to promote recruitment initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, phone calls, and scheduling appointments with prospective students.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to increase awareness of the university’s offerings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and/or the Vice-Chancellor for Student Engagement.
