About The Position
This position provides the technical knowledge and expertise to safely and accurately perform ultrasound scans, vascular lab procedures and other related procedures as requested. This position works under the supervision of the Director, ATL, and Lead Technologist in Radiology and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion or in process of completing an approved Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program which includes general ultrasound and vascular as well as OB.
- BLS or Heartsaver certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred registered by ARRT or other professional medical licensure.
Responsibilities
- Interpret a provider's instructions.
- Screen patients for safety.
- Explain procedures to patients.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Select imaging parameters when adjusting an ultrasound machine.
