About The Position

A Day in the Life Selected candidates will be offered a position as an Unregistered Sleep Tech in a full time 16/40-hour flexible schedule on rotating shifts (first, second, third) and will become actively enrolled in the AAMA A-Step Module program. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AAMA) A-Step program is an online program and will be funded through Munson Healthcare Tuition Reimbursement Program. A-Steps online learning modules will be paired with hands-on training under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Sleep Technologist or Sleep Disorders Provider. Training will take place in Traverse City and Cadillac Sleep Labs; the candidate must be willing and able to travel between both locations for varied shirts and times. At the end of the program, the employee will be eligible to sit for a credentialing exam to become a Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT, BRPT or RST) and will agree to work as a Registered Sleep Technologist for Munson Healthcare for a two-year period.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to candidates with 2 or more years of healthcare experience
Prior experience with EKG, EEG or Sleep studies is highly preferred
