Within the Epilepsy Department, you will be part of a family of caregivers committed to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies and surgical treatment options. As a Non-Registered Monitor Technician, you will monitor electrophysiological data on patients. A caregiver in this role works varying shifts from 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Gather data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments. Utilize electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes and electrophysiological recording instruments. Perform record keeping data using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients' status. Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field OR two years of patient care experience (may substitute for Associate’s Degree)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year experience as a Non-Registered EEG Technician OR first year completion of an Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics
  • First year of completion of an Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics

Nice To Haves

  • American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) credentialing for Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) within two years of hire
