Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business or related field OR 5+ years in a related field.
  • 2+ years of procurement experience in a fulfillment center or related area.
  • 1+ years of experience managing onsite team members.
  • 1+ years of vendor management experience, including negotiation and expediting services.
  • Advanced analytics and Excel skills, including data analysis through formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple high-priority items simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective problem-solving and team management.
  • Ability to assess team needs and adjust hours to meet with both day and night team members.
  • Highest levels of integrity and ethics.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other related P2P systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site procurement contact for the fulfillment center, providing support through the purchase of non-inventory products and services.
  • Lead and manage a team of non-inventory receivers across multiple shifts.
  • Manage over $30M+ yearly in procurement for the fulfillment center through active purchasing.
  • Oversee capital expenditure projects, including PO creation and vendor management, with project valuations from $10k to over $15M.
  • Conduct daily inventory counts to analyze and forecast future needs.
  • Become a subject matter expert in indirect spend areas to accurately assess projects and business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to influence spending decisions and track savings metrics.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve cost savings and establish contracts as necessary.
  • Problem-solve supplier performance and delivery issues, ensuring effective product delivery to operations.
  • Complete indirect inventory ordering through a P2P cloud-based system.
  • Maintain procurement files and ensure compliance with metric expectations for inventory tracking.
  • Manage the flow, supply, and space of non-inventory materials through daily tracking.
  • Drive project initiatives by working cross-functionally with multiple departments.
  • Partner with accounts payable and suppliers to ensure timely vendor payments and resolve payment issues.
  • Ensure safety responsibilities are met for direct team members in the warehouse environment.
  • Complete supply chain and network-level projects as designated.
